Why I got into public service: Although I was very young, I was influenced by the style of John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy. As I got older and studied their accomplishments, my admiration grew and inspired me to get into public service.
Guiding Value: Every day, I ask myself if my constituents have reason to keep me. I think about how each of them reacts to my leadership and whether they believe I am still worthy to continue in my position.
#1 Rule of Politics: Do not be afraid to make mistakes. Leadership requires the courage to try new ideas rather than playing it safe in hopes of being re-elected
